Description
This monumental oil on canvas portrait depicts Naser al-Din Shah Qajar (r. 1848–1896), shown standing in full military regalia, wearing a tall jewelled Qajar headdress, richly embroidered coat, and sash adorned with orders. His hand rests on a sheathed sword, while the background opens to a dramatic landscape with mountains and architecture, framed by a window-like setting.
