Description
A miniature Qur’an manuscript from the Qajar period, exquisitely illuminated and copied by Mirza Sultan Hassan Khan, dated 1226 Hijri (1811 CE). The manuscript opens with richly illuminated double pages, featuring dense floral and geometric decoration in vibrant tones of gold, lapis blue, and crimson, framing the sacred text with elegance and precision. The Qur’an is written in clear naskh script in black ink, with rubrication in red and further embellishment in gold. The binding is an original lacquered cover, with gilt floral decoration on the inside boards.
