Description
Of globular form rising from a spreading foot to a tall neck with cup-shaped mouth and small lateral lugs, this water sprinkler is finely decorated with bands of incised and inlaid ornament. The body is encircled by a broad register of interlacing scrolls and roundels containing arabesques, bordered above and below by cursive calligraphic bands. The neck is similarly adorned with geometric and vegetal patterns, while the underside of the foot is engraved with a central roundel.
