Description

A pair of candlesticks, each with a broad circular tray base supporting a tall tapering shaft, flaring to a cup-shaped candleholder. The dark Bidri alloy provides a dramatic ground for the delicate silver inlay, which is worked in radiating floral patterns on the bases and stylised blossoms and foliate bands along the stems. The underside of the bases is also intricately decorated, showcasing the high level of detail.
