Description
A vibrant Qajar-period minakari (enameled) vase, Persia, 19th century, finely painted in polychrome enamels with courtly and floral motifs. The vase, of elegant bulbous form with a tall tapering neck, is richly adorned with alternating medallions depicting royal and courtly figures in Qajar dress, each surrounded by dense floral sprays, arabesques, and geometric roundels in vivid shades of cobalt, turquoise, yellow, green, and crimson.
