An Arabic Christian prayer book, titled Salwat al-Swai (Prayers of Seekers), printed in 1852 at the Monastery of St. John in Chouir, Mount Lebanon. This work reflects the vibrant printing tradition of the Chouir monastery, one of the earliest and most influential Christian presses in the Middle East, established by the Catholic Melkite Order. The book was produced using traditional Arabic movable type, with alternating black and red ink for text emphasis, following the liturgical style of Eastern Christian rites.The volume is bound in its original dark leather binding, embossed with a central cross and ornamental borders.
