With one arm raised in salute (abhaya mudra) and the other resting firmly on his mace (gada). His expressive face, large ears, and strong body are finely modelled, while his long curling tail arches behind him in high relief, forming an elegant loop. The figure stands firmly on an oblong base and wears a richly detailed dhoti and ornaments.
