Description

A rare and richly illustrated Safavid manuscript on planetary science, produced in Persia during the 17th–18th century. This remarkable scientific treatise explores celestial mechanics, astronomy, and cosmology, rendered in classical Arabic script with red and black ink. Diagrams throughout the manuscript include orbits, planetary alignments, angular measurements, and circular cosmological systems.

The manuscript is adorned with numerous geometric and schematic illustrations, including annotated orbital models and cosmographic charts. These diagrams are drawn with mathematical precision and aesthetic clarity, often highlighted in red to indicate motion, alignment, or structural emphasis.

The text is composed in a diagonal and marginal layout, with explanatory glosses surrounding the main body of script. Illuminated headings in red script mark important sections and transitions. Bound in a red leather.
