Each cylindrical salt cellar is finely hand-chased in high relief with alternating cartouches of courtly figures and birds among floral foliage, set against a textured ground. The lids are engraved with radiating foliate segments, while the feet are supported on three polished ball supports, with his hallmark visible to the base of each piece.
