Description
This belt buckle is composed of two paisley-shaped plates joined by a central clasp, each intricately embossed with traditional foliate scrollwork and rosettes. Adorned with inset red and green glass cabochons at the centre of radiating sunburst motifs, the buckle is further enhanced with chains suspending coin-like pendants, typical of Balkan Ottoman ornamentation. The reverse is fitted with robust belt loops and reveals repoussé decoration.
