A flat wooden box, dating back to the Nasrid or Post-Nasrid period (15th-16th century), exemplifies the rich decorative traditions of Moorish Spain. The exterior is intricately adorned with geometric star motifs, meticulously inlaid with contrasting wood and bone elements. The repeating patterns and detailed craftsmanship echo the architectural ornamentation and artistic flourishes characteristic of the Islamic art of Al-Andalus. The lid opens to reveal a simple, well-preserved interior, highlighting the contrast between functionality and the elaborate outer design. Resting on small feet and secured with an ornate lock.
