Description
The interior features a powerful depiction of a phoenix, its wings and long tail feathers spread in a dynamic, symmetrical composition, surrounded by auspicious clouds. The phoenix, a revered symbol of virtue, prosperity, and imperial authority in Chinese culture, is meticulously rendered in deep cobalt blue with intricate detailing.
The exterior is similarly decorated with four phoenixes in flight among scrolling clouds, harmonizing with the central motif. The base bears a six-character mark in underglaze blue, reading “大清光绪年制” (Made in the Guangxu period of the Great Qing Dynasty).
