Description
A grand, life-size oil painting on canvas portrays Nasser al-Din Shah Qajar (1831–1896), the fourth Shah of Persia from the Qajar dynasty. Standing in an opulent interior, he is elegantly dressed in an imperial military uniform, adorned with golden embroidery, medals, and a distinguished sash. His regal presence is further emphasised by his tall Qajar-style hat, featuring the royal emblem.
The Shah is depicted resting his hand on a luxurious red velvet and gold-trimmed chair with a richly detailed Persian carpet beneath his feet adds depth and texture to the scene. The background features ornate wall decorations and a Persian calligraphic inscription.
